Congrats Simpsons writers, you achieved an Oscar nod, deservedly or not.  In my opinion, the Simpsons has not been funny in almost a decade, and their use of Maggie as a plot device as of late has been terrible. Nevertheless, the powers that be felt that she was a strong enough character to get her own short.

The Longest Daycare is the last of the Oscar nominated shorts to be given to the Internets, but I assure you the others are far greater. Please check out all of the other Oscar nominated animated shorts in past Short Film Fridays. They are beautiful and touching and technically impressive, all of which this is not.
