Short Film Friday: Abe (Dir. Rob McLellan)

Today’s short film is an incredible piece of genre horror. Abe, a robot confused by feelings of abandonment and loss, looks to improve upon his victims. Writer/Director Rob McLellan takes the tired torture-porn cliche and adds a solemn robot, lost and confused, as its main antagonist. The VFX work here is just stunning.

Also worth noting, MGM optioned to make this short into a feature film back in August. So hopefully, we will have a fun new genre bending horror flick in the near future. McLellan is set to return as director of the full-length feature film.

Enjoy!
