In one of my previous Short Film Friday’s, I had highlighted Disney’s Paperman, calling it “one of the best Disney films in the last decade”. Sadly, at the time of writing that post, the Oscar nominated Paperman was not available online.
Thankfully, the people at Disney have seen the light and have put Paperman on Youtube for all to see. This is a beautiful and whimsical animated short and I do hope you watch it. The music is perfect, as is the complete absence of unnecessary dialogue. It stands with Wall-E, Up, and The Incredibles in the upper eschelon of modern Disney and I hope it foreshadows Disney animations to come.
