It has been 9 long years since we last heard from Vin Diesel’s nocturnal anti-hero, but at long last, the third (live-action) film in the Chronicles of Riddick franchise is coming into the light. This film feels like it has been in development forever. The first film in the franchise, Pitch Black, received modest acclaim and return thanks in part to its small budget. The second film, however, fared much worse. Many found its sprawling narrative and universe confusing. I, on the other hand, love it to pieces and can’t wait to get more.
