If you weren’t able to get tickets or you just want to experience (or re-live) an insane concert experience, check out today’s 90 minute digital release of Nine Inch Nails’s 2013 Tension Tour.

Buzzfeed is calling the tour 10 years ahead of it’s time and I completely agree – Reznor and creative director Rob Sheridon use morphing lights, projection-mapped video and a shifting stage to paint a unique visual picture for each song. It’s Nine Inch Nails most cohesive audio and visual presentation – and now you can experience it for yourself in HD below.
I saw the show in Toronto this fall with my unborn child (via my pregnant wife) and it is a true work of art. This was the first time I was seated for a NIN show and it was fascinating to be able to really watch… and also to see people everywhere, even on the floor just standing agape for some of the effects. Go full-screen and put on some headphones…
My goal is that — I can usually see the audience because I’m lit from behind a lot — is that I want to keep you from looking at your phone…I want to make you hold your pee because you don’t want to miss something. We’ve thought about all this stuff, and want to make this experience something that was worth your time.
