Short Film Friday: Cyanide and Happiness (Produced by Explosm)

So normally for Short Film Friday we like to highlight some of your more hoity-toity fare. We try and sound all artsy, like we “get” this under-appreciated medium and are so superior because of it. Well not this week baby! This week I want to highlight the animated shorts from my favourite web comic, Cyanide and Happiness. Why do I win at games like Cards Against Humanity and Deck Around? Because I derive my sense of humour from filth like this!

I don’t want to over-explain this. C&H is the creation of Explosm (Kris Wilson, Rob DenBleyker, Matt Melvin and Dave McElfatrick). They have released four collections of their comics, all of them sitting on my coffee table. And last but not least, they have animated shorts, many of which are on Youtube.

Here are just a few of my favourites from recent months:

Cyanide & Happiness – Totally Forgot

Cyanide & Happiness – Junk Mail

Cyanide & Happiness – The Duet

Cyanide & Happiness – Stuck

So if you are twisted like me and you enjoyed these, and you wanted to check out more from Explosm, go to their site at

Also make sure to check out their collections, such as:
